<p>PURPOSE:To make the thickness of the films in respective parts uniform, by varying the discharge amt. of a painting gun according to the positions in the horizontal plane parts of a substrate such as a hood, luggage, roof, or the like in a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:Paint is sprayed on, for example, the lower horizontal plane part a2 such as a hood, luggage of a vehicle body A, and the upper horizontal plane part a3 such as the roof thereof from a painting gun 4 of a painter 3 for the horizontal part while the gun 4 is moved back and forth horizontally and the painter 3 itself is moved upward and downward. The up and down positions of the painter 3 in this case are detected with limit switches 5a, 5b, and the switching valve of a paint changeover device 6 is changed over by the detected position signals thereof so that the paint of the amt. conforming to the horizontal painting surface of the vehicle body is discharged from the gun 4. The amt. of discharge is thus decreased in the part a2 which is vulnerable to the influence of painting from a painter 1 for the vertical part, and the film having a uniform thickness as a whole is formed.</p> |
