Refrigerator with shelf containers in the form of essentially rectangular trays which can be suspended on the inside of its door between vertical cheeks, optionally at different height positions with fixed distances, and which on turning over can be inserted positively between fastening elements arranged on the mutually facing sides of the cheeks. In this case, at least one of the trays (14) is provided with a flap (17) which is articulated on one of its longitudinal sides and the height of which corresponds at least approximately to the smallest height distance of vertically adjacent trays (14) or shelf containers, which is defined by a fixed separation of the fastening elements (15).
