PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer type heat-sensitive recording material for heat- sensitive facsimile, heat-sensitive printer, etc., having excellent color density and sensitivity, by providing a heat-meltable transfer layer containing a colorant and a specific heat-meltable substance of phenylene or naphthalene series. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid, consisting of a colorant (prefereably an oily dye), one or more of heat-meltable substances preferably having a melting point of 50-120 deg.C of formula I or II [wherein R1 is an alkyl or aralkyl, R2 is an alkyl (carbonyl), aralkyl, or arylcarbonyl, and Y is an alkyl, alkoxy, aralkyl, phenyl, or halogen] (e.g., 2-phenethyloxybiphenyl or 2-benzyloxynaphthalene) a binder (e.g., PVA, usually), and a paraffin wax, is prepared and applied on a support (e.g., paper) to obtain an objective recording material. |
