APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING MAGNETIC POWDERY PARTICLE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to separate magnetic powdery particles in good efficiecy and high removal efficiency, by a method wherein fine magnetic powdery particles are granulated by magnetism to be separated and removed. CONSTITUTION:A fluid having magnetic powdery particles suspended therein is supplied to a container 5 from the pipeline 3 of a granulator 1 and passed through the part of matrices 10 to be discharged to a pipeline 4. The magnetic powdery particles are adhered to the matrices 10 by high gradient magnetism due to an electromagnet 12 and other powdery particles are adhered to the adhered parts to carry out granulation. When granulation is carried out for a definite time and the particle size of the granulated substance reaches a proper particle size in the granulator 1, the supply of a current to the coil 12 is stopped while the supply of the fluid is carried out and a high frequency or an electrostriction current is supplied to a vibrator 11. By this operation, the matrices 10 are vibrated by a vibration plate 9 to release the granulated substance which is in turn sent to a separator 2 along with washing water from the pipeline 3 to be separated and removed.
