CONSTITUTION:A control unit 3 stores a speed change pattern 31 previously set according to the running condition of a car and controls an automatic transmission 1 according to the speed change gear 1 according to the speed change pattern 31. According to the results of comparison between a predictor of engine output according to the operating condition of an engine and engine output input to the automatic transmission 1, a shift position is changed according to the speed change pattern 31. Accordingly, a speed change pattern is corrected to compensate for a change of running performance to obtain a suitable running performance. |
