PURPOSE:To treat refuse after extraction of soybean, having improve storage stability, in high dehydration efficiency at low cost, by adding water having <=specific value of solid content to refuse after extraction of soybean separated from extraction process, dehydrating it under acidic conditions. CONSTITUTION:Water having <=0.5wt% solid content is added to refuse after extraction of soybean separated from extraction process. The amount of water is >= twice as much as that of the refuse. The refuse is adjusted to 3.5-5pH, and dehydrated. In the case of raw Okara [bean-curd (Tofu) refuse], namely, when the refuse is not especially dried after the dehydration, water is added to the refuse, and the refuse is heat-treated (e.g., heating at >=80 deg.C for >=10min) before dehydration, to improve further shelf stability. One of the important working modes is to circulate the dehydrated and separated acidic water through the extraction process. Namely, the dehydrated and separated acidic water can be used as part or the whole of the first or second extracting water for soybean, defatted soybean, etc., so that an amount of pure water necessary for extraction in an existing method can be reduced by the amount corresponding to the dehydrated and separated acid water. |
