PURPOSE:To shorten light receiving time with a simple constitution, by dirving a solid-state image pickup element with a clock signal which is formed by the time division applied to clock pulses of two different frequencies. CONSTITUTION:The 1st clock pulse is fed to an AND gate 6(a) from a clock pulse generator 1(a), and the 2nd clock pulse is fed to an AND gate 6(b) from a clock pulse generator 1(b). If a flip-flop 5 is now outputting an ''H'', a driving circuit 2 drives a solid-state image pickup element 3 according to the 1st clock pulse and also supplies the 1st clock pulse to a counting circuit 4. As the result, a video signal is stored in a shift register part, which is not shown in the figure, contained in the solid-state image pickup element 3. The counting circuit 4 counts the number of piece and inverts the flip-flop 5 when the number of clock pulse becomes the same as that of a picture element. |
