PURPOSE:To improve antifading performance and obtain a pulse radar apparatus having a stable target detecting capacity as well as providing enhanced counter- counter measuring property by changing over a radiation polarized surface simultaneously with a switch in the frequency of a transmission signal. CONSTITUTION:Signal of frequencies fL1 and fL2 from local oscillators 2-1 and 2-2 are applied to a signal switching circuit 12, which the signals are switched for each transmission pulse according to a gate signal of a trigger generator 5 and transmitted to a transmission mixer 3 and a receiving mixer 9 to be mixed with an original signal fC. The transmission signal thus obtained is pulse- modulated 6 applied to a polarization switch 14 through a power amplifier 4 and a transmission-reception switch 7, where the transmission wave is separated to a vertical polarized wave and a horizontal polarized wave. Following reflection from a space and a target, a reflected wave is received with an antenna 8, turned to a received video output signal (e) by the operation opposite to that for transmission and displayed on an indicator or the like. This prevents fading to realize a pulse radar apparatus having a stable target detection capacity. |
