<p>PURPOSE:To perform stably and easily controllable treatment without the formation of bulking, by specifying the structure of an aeration tank for mixing waste water with activated sludge and sequentially carrying the mixture and the oxidation-reduction potential of the activated sludge-mixed liquid in the foremost aeration chamber. CONSTITUTION:Waste water to be treated is aerated by sending it through a passage 1 to the foremost chamber 2 of an aeration tank equally divided into 6 or more parts, e.g. 2-7. Said water is then sequentially aerated in the chambers 3-7 and introduced into a precipitation tank 8. Purified water is drained from the tank 8 through a passage 9, while precipitating sludge in the tank 8 is returned through a returning passage 10 to the chamber 2. Aeration in each of the chambers is performed by O2-contg. gas such as air from a blower 12, and its flow rate to the chamber 2 is controlled by the operation of a flow rate regulating valve 11 on the branched way of a pipe line 13 leading to the chamber 2. The oxidation-reduction potential of the activated sludge-mixed liquid in the chamber 2 is adjusted to + or -0 mV--200mV.</p> |
