PURPOSE:To improve the shearing force and the wearproof characteristic of a toothed belt by coating the toothed belt with the canvas which is woven after specifying the thickness of warp/thickness of weft, twist coefficient, and cover factor value of weft. CONSTITUTION:A toothed belt has a tension resisting body 1 and a toothed part 3 having a constant pitch. The surface of the toothed part 3 is coated with canvas 4. Said canvas 4 is formed by weaving the warp 4a consisting of the twist having a thicness of warp/thickness of weft of 1.2 or above, thickness of raw yarn of 210d, of above, and a twist coefficient of 1.5 or above, and the weft 4b consisting of twist or monofilament yarn, with the weft cover factor of 10 or above. Thus, the shearing force and the wearproof characteristic of the toothed part of the belt can be improved. |
