摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as a raw material for synthesizing a physiologically active substance, etc. in high yield in high selectivity, by reacting a para-position-substituted phenolic derivative with an allyl halide derivative using a specific modified cyclodextrin as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A modified dextrin obtained by replacing a primary hydroxyl group of cyclodextrin with an N-alkylformamide group or N-alkylacetamide group is used as a catalyst, and a para-position-substituted derivative is reacted with an allyl halide derivative, to give the desired compound. The modified dextrin is obtained by reacting alpha- or beta-cyclodextrin with tosyl chloride so that all the primary hydroxyl groups are tosylated, followed by reacting the prepared compound with an alkylamine and a mixed anhydride of formic acid- acetic acid or acetic anhydride successively.
