PURPOSE:To distinguish a keyword (interpreted word) from its modifier, by making the voice output method of the modifier differ from that of the keyword, in case the keyword has a homonym. CONSTITUTION:When an audio output (voice) is delivered, the presence or absence of a modifier is judged first. If a modifier exists, the tone is designated to a mono-tone. Then the data on the modifier part is fed to a voice synthesizing device VS to utter the modifier in a mono-tone. Then the tone is reset to a normal tone, and the text data (interpreted word data) is fed to the device VS. At the same time, the audio output is delivered in a normal tone. While if no modifier exists, an audio output of the translated word, etc. is immediately delivered in a normal data. |
