A method for aeration of pseudoplastic mixtures by providing an enclosure with H/D of 0.5-5.0, a vertical rotatable shaft having bubble shearing means with extending arms, upwardly injecting gas bubbles at radial locations, and repeatedly shearing the rising bubbles by the rotating arms.
