PURPOSE:To obviate the change in the space between operating bodies and lens bodies even if the eye width changes by mounting a cam plate to a guide plate freely slidably and fixing right and left operating buttons to the front edge thereof so that when one button is depressed eyepiece lens barrel advances and when the other button is pushed the lens barrel retreats. CONSTITUTION:The user matches the eye width to the binoculars by opening right and left lens bodies 1, 1', brings the binoculars on the eye by holding the lens bodies with both hands or one hand, puts the fingertips on both or one of operating buttons 10, 10' and focuses the lenses by pressing the operating buttons. The projecting length of the buttons 10, 10' which are operating bodies from the bodies 1, 1' is irrelevant of the eye width and is determined unequivocally by the optical axis distance of eyepiece lenses. Therefore, if the optical axis distance between the eyepiece lenses and objective lenses is set at a standard distance when the projecting length of the buttons 10, 10' is the same, the focusing is possible simply by adjusting the buttons 10, 10' finely even if the eye width changes. |
