PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the quality of image obtained after image reproduction on the ground by shifting the aperture distribution of an antenna in the ranging direction from that waving a low side lobe characteristic such as Taylor distribution from the uniform distribution. CONSTITUTION:When a distribution having a low side lobe characteristic is selected, the aperture distribution has the optimum value in the ranging direction. The rate of unrequired signals increases to deteriorate the quality of image when the side lobe level is too high like the uniform distribution while on the contrary it is extremely too low. Therefore, when the Taylor distribution is selected as aperture distribution, it is most desirable that the side lobe level should be determined to minimize the rate of unrequired signal. |
