<p>A solid-state image pickup element which has a plurality of image pickup picture elements (E11 to Emn) which include first switching elements (S11 to Smn) with photoelectric converters (D11 to Dmn: 24) electrically connected to the first switching elements (S11 to Smn), respectively, arranged in rows and columns, and second switching elements composed to arranged a plurality of depletion insulated gate field effect transistors connected in common to the corresponding first switching elements (S11 to Smn) of the elements (E11 to Emn) forming the corresponding rows, wherein when the first switching elements (S11 to Smn) in each element (E11 to Emn) forming each row are opened in a selective sequence, the second switching elements (T'1 to T'n) are opened in a selective sequence, thereby producing signals based on signal charges obtained from the converters (D11 to Dmn: 24) through the first and second switching elements (S11 to Smn, T'1 to T'n).</p> |
