PURPOSE:To provide a burner for solid fuel which is safer and is easy to handle, by a method wherein projections in an approximately vertical direction is formed in at least one or more places in a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A casing 1 has a large number of secondary air inlets 5. A side wall 2, made of a heat-resisting heat insulating material such as ceramic fiber, diatom earth, calcium silicate, has a number of secondary air feed holes 3. In which case, the secondary air feed holes 3 may be provided in the side wall 2 in a multi-stoking manner. A bottom plate 6 made of the same material as that of the side wall 2 has a number of primary air feed holes 7. A space formed with the side wall 2 and the bottom plate 6 forms a combustion chamber 9. A plurality of rodform projections 8 projecting into a combustion chamber 9 are formed integrally with the bottom plate 6 and the side wall 2. However, they may, of course, be detachably formed in accordance with the shape of a solid fuel, and this constitution enhances an operation efficiency. The projection 8 may be formed on a metal series material, such as heat-resisting metals, alloys, castings, or any composite material of them, whatever it may be. |
