When devices and systems are to be connected to three-phase networks, a particular phase sequence is required in most cases. This is particularly important in the case of reactive-power control systems which do not compensate for the reactive current in the case of a wrong connection and then result in considerable power costs. The invention shows a three-phase monitoring circuit which is so simple, and thus also inexpensive, that it can be installed in mass production as service aid in devices of the said type. According to the invention, two signals, which provide a signal by means of logical combinations in the case of an error, are derived from the mains. <IMAGE>
