PURPOSE:To improve the heavy-oil slurry purging rate by reducing the concentration of the solid portion in the heavy-oil slurry by gradually adding heavy oil into the heavy-oil slurry in the fluid state and finally substituting the heavy- oil slurry for heavy oil. CONSTITUTION:In the method for purging the piping 11 for transporting heavy- oil slurry by use of heavy oil, heavy oil is supplied little by little in the fluid state of the heavy-oil slurry by a heavy-oil pump 4, and then a heavy-oil slurry control valve 3 is closed gradually, and a heavy-oil control valve 6 is gradually opened correspondingly, and the concentration of the solid portion in the heavy- oil slurry in the piping 11 is reduced, and finally the heavy-oil slurry is substituted for heavy oil. Therefore, the heavy-oil slurry purging rate can be improved with the less amount of heavy oil in comparison with the former method in which heavy oil is supplied in full measure. |
