PURPOSE:To load a tape surely, by detecting the operation of a tape terminal sensor in the take-up reel side to transport a certain quantity of the tape to the take-up reel automatically if the tape terminal sensor in the take-up reel side is operated when a cassette is loaded. CONSTITUTION:If a leader part of a tape T is arranged in the supply reel side when a new cassette is loaded, this state is detected by a sensor 15 because the sensor 15 is arranged to face the tape T stretched between tape guides 2 and 3 in the cassette. Then, the tape is transported to the take-up reel side by the next procedure to remove the leader part from the detection area of the sensor 15, and the tape stands ready for the next operation. First, the tape in the cassette is transported to the first transportation position II, and next, the take-up reel is rapidly traversed for a certain time in the first transportation position, and thereafter, a leading pin is returned to the initial position (stop position). |
