PURPOSE:To permit printings of high densities even at high speeds by allowing charge to be injected in a multiplex manner by a method in which needle electrode rows in which large number of needle electrodes are arranged in one row are set in a multiple row in such a way that they are in parallel with one another and mutally lapped from a view of right-angled direction of the rows. CONSTITUTION:Toner T is charged into a hopper 2, an uniform layer of toner T is formed on the surface of donor 1 by a doctor 3, and negative charge is charged to the layer of toner T. Then, positive charge is charged according to pictue signals by a multi-needle electrode 4, and positively charged toner picture is transferred to an intermediate transfer roller 5 and then to a paper S. In such an electrostatic transfer recording method, plural multi-needle electrode rows are arranged in the multi-needle electrode 4 in a place where they are in parallel with one another and also needle electrodes A1-AN and B1-BN in each row are mutually lapped from a view of right-angled direction of the row, whereby permitting positive charge according to picture signals to be applied in a multiplex manner. |
