PURPOSE:To remove moisture in a gas almost completely, by a method wherein the temp. of a demister is lowered by a cooling pipe and heat exchange is carried out between an inlet gas and an outlet gas. CONSTITUTION:A gas 8 containing a large amount of steam is supplied into a cylinder 1 through a gas supply pipe 2 and passed through a demister 7 within the cylinder 1 but, because a cooling pipe 10 through which a cooling medium is flowed is embedded in the demister 7, the demister 7 itself is also cooled. Therefore, moisture contained in the gas 8 is collected by the demister 7 and saturated steam in the gas is condensed and liquefied under cooling to promote the separation of moisture in the gas. The gas from which steam is removed has a temp. lower than that of the gas supply pipe 2 and is heated by heat exchange with the gas prior to steam separation while flowed along the surface of the gas supply pipe 2 to be exhausted from an exhaust pipe 6. |
