PURPOSE:To feed the 1st and the 2nd video signals into a memory circuit with suitable selection by means of a reproducer, by adding a discriminating signal of the discriminating code for the type and the number of a picture to the 1st video signal and the 2nd video signal containing a compressed quantity of the 1st information respectively. CONSTITUTION:A still picture signal fed to an input terminal 16 is supplied to a discriminating signal generator 17. As shown in a figure, the generator 17 generates a discriminating signal 21 and supplies it to a memory 18. The signal 21 is then supplied to a switching circuit 15. The signal 21 contains a picture number discriminating code 22, a picture type discriminating code 23, a picture type discriminating code 24, a sort discriminating code 25 for effect of each 2-bit, an effect time discriminating code 26 and a parity code 27 respectively. The bit shown on the highest position is an MSB. The code 22 discriminates the order of a still picture counted from the start point of recording among those still pictures recorded on the same surface of a disk. |
