PURPOSE:To recognize a large quantity of OCR slips in a short time to process them, by storing temporarily the character information signals of plural OCR slips transmitted from an EAX device and reading these signals to recognize the information. CONSTITUTION:A storing device TP contains a transmitting parts T1-T3 and can receive signals at one time from three FAX devices. Receiving signals PR1-PR3 are stored in the storing region of a storing device M corresponding to the parts T1-T3. A recognition start signal is supplied to a recognition start signal processing part PP by a pattern recognition start switch of a control part. The part PP delivers a transfer request signal CS1 to a primary control part MC via a circuit IF. The part MC reads successively the signals PR1-PR3 out of the device M and applies them to the part PP. The part PP applies the signals PR1-PR3 to a recognizing part CR, and the part CR stores the corresponding code signal CC to a storing part CM in the form of a result of recognition and then delivers it to a processor. While the part CR delivers a misrecognizing signal SE to the part MC for the information to which the recognition is impossible and stores it again in the device M. The signal SE is applied with rejecting process after the reception is over. |
