PURPOSE:To reduce the distortion of images by processing data collected by an image reconstruction technique with a computer to reconstruct a radioactive isotope distribution image. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a number of slender detectors 11, 12, 13... is introduced to PMTs (photomultipliers) 31, 32, 33.... Pulse lights corresponding to the incidence of radiations outputted from PMTs 31, 32, 33... are counted with counters 61, 62... through pulse height analyzers 51, 52.... These counts are stored into a memory 73 under the control of a CPU72. With a plurality of detectors as mentioned above rotating integral, data is obtained from the detector and stored in the memory 73 by a slight angle. Thus, after the collection of the data, these data are read out to reconstruct a distribution image of a radioactive isotope material by image reconstruction processing. |
