The metering and apportioning device for doughy material has a rotatable roller (10) which is provided with transversely running passages (11) for the material, a piston (13) for the suction and discharge of the material being displaceable in the passages (11). The roller (10) is rotatable in a cylindrical seat (3) back-and-forth between a first angular position (A) in which the passages (11) are aligned with an outlet (2) of a feed hopper (1), and a second angular position (B) in which the passages (11) are aligned with corresponding apportioning lines (6). The angular position is kept small. The pistons (13) are operated by slides (17, 20) and, after a first suction movement, are led back somewhat in order to compress the material. <IMAGE>
