PURPOSE:To prevent a fuel cell from being exposed to a danger even during the cutoff a load by jointly providing a wet-seal device and a tank with a predetermined volume at the inlet or outlet of a fuel gas chamber. CONSTITUTION:A wet-seal device 11 is connected to a water feed passage 18, water discharge passage 14 and air discharge passage 15 and is constituted with a tank 16 containing water inside, and a pipe 17 connecting to the inlet of a fuel gas chamber 2 is inserted in the water of the tank 16 to a depth of H. The water pressure corresponding to the depth H has been set at a pressure slightly larger than the pressure in the fuel gas system. Thereby, an increasing pressure in the fuel gas chamber 2 can be limited. A pipe 18 connecting to the inlet of the fuel gas chamber 2 is also connected to the wet-seal device 11 and the colocated tank 12. The volume of the tank is selected at a value mitigating the increased pressure generated transiently based on the inertia of the wet-seal device during the maximum pressure increase expected including when a load is cut off. |
