PURPOSE:To reduce magnetic resistance and to stabilize coupling strength by a method wherein two U-shaped cores are arranged in parallel and a coil is wound on the magnetic legs of the U-shaped cores contacting each other and square pillar cores are arranged at the open ends of the surfaces of the cores. CONSTITUTION:A hoop material such as silicon steel and an amorphous magnetic alloy sheet is wound and halved, or ferrite powder is sintered and made into U-shaped cores 8, 9. These two cores 8, 9 are arranged in parallel and electromagnetic steel sheets shaped in the form of I are laminated on and under surfaces of the open ends of the cores, or square pillars 10, 11 prepared by sintering ferrite powder are arranged to build a magnetic circuit for a transformer. Then primary and secondary windings are wound on the magnetic legs of the cores 8, 9 to obtain a slim transformer. In so doing, the coupling of magnetic circuits are stabilized, while magnetic flux is reduced. |
