PURPOSE:To provide a paper feed device which can feed paper at high speed by supporting an adsorption pad in such a manner as to elevate with an adsorption head supported movably back and forth, so that paper is transported by a simple operation caused by the elevating motion of the adsorption pad and the backward and forward motion of the adsorption head. CONSTITUTION:An adsorption head 14 capable of moving back and forth is disposed above the forward portion of a paper table lifted corresponding to the feed of paper P supported thereon. The lower portion of a cylinder 18 is provided with a suction opening 19, and a piston 20 capable of elevating and a spring 21 for pushing the piston 20 upwards are disposed on the inside of the cylinder 18. The lower portion of a rod 22 connected to the lower surface of the piston is positioned below the cylinder and provided with an adsorption pad 23. A suction path 24 is formed on the axis of the rod 22 and the piston 20, and the rod 22 is provided with a connection hole 25 for connecting the path 24 and the interior of the cylinder to each other. A spring 31 is adapted to move the head 14 towards a cam 29 fixed to a prime mover shaft 10 for forwarding the head 14. |
