<p>The elevator base has a housing (1) in which is fitted a lower elevator drum (2). An endless belt (3) carries the buckets, one side (3a) coming down and the other (3b) going up. An opening (7a,7b) feeds the housing. The drum slides vertically, relative to the housing. This is in a slide (5) of length (1) equal to about 0.8% of the elevator height (h), the lower third of which forms the working zone. The opening has a spout of section (S) equal to the delivery required, divided by about 300 1/h/cm2. The spout is less than 60 degrees to the horizontal.</p> |
