PURPOSE:To facilitate the continuous measurement of ignition timing in an excessive state, by detecting relationships between engine speed and ignition timing in succession, in case of a device for measuring the ignition timing of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 4 is installed on the circumference of a reference position rotor 1 and thereby a reference position signal A is detected. Then an ignition signal B' is detected out of a connection point P. Intervals of a reference position signal A' are counted for a clock pulse CP by a counter 18 and the engine speed is detected. An interval between the reference position signal A' and the ignition signal B' is measured by a counter 19 upon counting the clock pulse CP. At every engine unit rotation, both the engine speed and the ignition timing are measured in regular sequence, then this measured result is stored in memory beforehand in order and the result is read out in order after measurement is over whereby it is outputted. With this, such a measuring device as being suitable for the continuous measurement of ignition timing in an excessive state can be secured. |
