The invention provides an entry nozzle (10) for a flotation tank (11) of the kind used for recovering solid particles in suspension in a liquid. The entry nozzle comprises a tubular nozzle chamber (22) having an upwardly-directed outlet (33), the nozzle chamber being connected to an inlet conduit (23) by means of a diverging intermediate part (21). Baffle means, including an inclined baffle plate (50), are disposed in the nozzle chamber of modify the flow of liquid through the nozzle. The entry nozzle provides an evenly-distributed upwardly-directed stream of liquid in the tank which does not disturb the raft of solid particles which forms on the liquid surface. <IMAGE> |
