PURPOSE:To attain very high speed editing job of Japanese words and by realizing the editing function with the hardware connected to channels of a computer and attaining the reduction of the load on the software. CONSTITUTION:An instruction transmitted from an editing device driver is received at an instruction receiver 14 via an input/output channel 9 and a channel interface 12, and given to a control section 15. This control section 15 calculates the position of character imbedding in an edition buffer on a main storage device at an operating section 17 at first for storage. Further, in a Kanji(Chinese character)code train, the physical address of a font memory array 20 is calculated from Kanji codes, an access instruction is outputted to a font memory control section 19 and the section 19 reads out the font corresponding to the Kanji code from the array 20. The control section 15 writes the font obtained in the editing buffer on the main storage device and when this is finished through repetition, the end of edition is reported to the editing device driver. |
