PURPOSE:To reduce noises and vibrations when driven with a non-sinusoidal current by a construction wherein a magnetic cylinder is used as an inner wall of the stator core. CONSTITUTION:A stator winding 3, slot insulator 4 and a wedge 5 are housed in each slot of a stator core 1 formed of a laminated magnetic thin plate, e.g., a laminated steel plate. Fixed to the inner peripheral wall or stator magnetic pole surface of the stator core 1 is magnetic cylinder 6 which has permeability almost equal to that of the magnetic thin plate constituting the stator core 1 and which has a thickness almost equal to or slightly less than that of the magnetic thin plate (i.e., about 0.5mm. in the normal laminated thin plate). |
