The invention relates to a stand for Christmas trees or the like which is formed from uniform bars (1), facing bars (2) and feet (3), fixed above and to one another in the form of a cross. At the centre, the bars (1) have perforations (7) which, in the radial direction, have widened portions (6) into which wedges (4) can be inserted to retain the Christmas tree in the stand.
