PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the dehumidifier and to operate it accurately by a method wherein a switch is turned ON and OFF by the vertical movements of a float within a tank for storing water resulting from dehumidification, through a lever. CONSTITUTION:When the level of the water in the tank 7 exceeds a point C, the rear end of the lever 17 leaves away from a microswitch as the float 16 rises to the surface of the water. Accordingly, the microswitch 13 turns OFF to thereby stop the dehumidifier. On the other hand, when the water in the tank 7 is discharged, the float 16 lowers and the lever 17 turns the microswitch 13 ON to re-operate the dehumidifier. In this case, when the tank 7 is removed from the dehumidifier, the rear end of the lever 17 moves to a position separated from the microswitch 13 so that the microswitch does not operate. As a consequence, the dehumidifier is operated accurately and the structure thereof is simplified to thereby facilitate the assembly. |
