PURPOSE:To control the eccentricity of rolls with high accuracy by determining the deviation in thickness in accordance with the eccentricity of the rolls in each segment of the divided positions and operating and controlling controlled variables dynamically each segment. CONSTITUTION:The load signal 18 from a load meter 7 is measured at every sampling period through a sampler 19 and is stored successively time serially in a storage device 20. The signal 18 is converted to a fluctuation signal 21 for thickness and is stored. Arithmetic operations are carried out at every sampling period in a substractor 24, and the results of the operations are stored successively time serially in a storage device 25. An arithmetic unit 26 for controlled variables operates the control signal to be applied to a control device for roll gaps in accordance with the operated deviation from the normalized thickness. The controlled variable according to the residual deviation signal of the thickness of this time multiplied by an exponential smoothing coefft. is added to said control signal to provide a new controlled variable 28. The controlled variable 28 is stored in a storage circuit 27, and is applied through a sampler 29 to a control device for roll gaps. |
