The invention relates to a device for adjusting the mowing height of a rotary mower having at least one mowing disc (3) driven about an approximately vertical axis, with cutters (6) which project radially beyond its circumference and which are mounted freely rotatably and in a manner pivotable to a limited extent in a vertical plane on an approximately vertical holding bolt (8) between the mowing disc (3) and a respective resilient carrier element (5) fastened to its underside. Each rotary mowing unit (1) having a mowing disc (3) is supported on its underside on the ground via a coaxially arranged sliding plate (4). To adjust the mowing height, the vertical pivoting range, that is to say the respective uppermost pivoting position of the cutters (6), can be adjusted. This can be carried out, for example, by varying the distance between the mowing disc (3) and the lower bearing (15) of the cutters (6) on the holding bolt (8).
