<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin a magneto-resistance effect film without impairing a lead characteristic, thereby narrowing a lead gap, and to raise a recording density of a recording medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The magneto-resistance effect film includes: an antiferromagnetism layer 12; and a fixed magnetized layer 13a laminated on the antiferromagnetism layer 12.
