PURPOSE:To prepare boiled fish paste free from contamination with sundry germs, preservable for a long period without putrefaction, and free from voids, by extruding fish meat paste in the form of rod, wrapping the rod with a heat- resistant film, cutting to a definite length, and heating the rod. CONSTITUTION:Fish paste kneaded with a silent cutter, grinder, etc. is fed to an extruder with a feed pump, and extruded through the nozzle of the extruder in the form or continuous rod, which is immediately wrapped with a heat-resistant film such as polyethylene film by a wrapping machine. The cross-section of the rod can be made to an arbitrary shape such as circular form, fan form, etc. by the proper selection of the form of the extruder nozzle, and a rod having two or more colors can be obtained by using two or more paste materials having different colors and a multiple nozzles. The rod wrapped with the heat-resistant film is cut to a desired length with a cutter, heated with steam or by roasting, and cooled to obtain the product. |
