PURPOSE:To attain excellent ghost elimination, by making the input and output characteristics of an error signal amplifier circuit amplifying ghost component nonlinear so as to avoid the saturation of the amplifier. CONSTITUTION:Based on the difference of ghost component amplified at an error signal amplifier circuit 31, the position and level of the ghost component are detected and a calcellation signal simulating the ghost component is formed. This cancellation signal is supplied to a synthesizer 6 and a video signal removed of ghost is picked up from an output terminal 7. The circuit 31 has nonlinear input and output characteristics so as not to be saturated. Thus, the differential output of the ghost component amplified at the circuit 31 is not made to entirely erroneous ghost information, allowing to attain excellent ghost elimination. |
