PURPOSE:To simplify processing, by constituting a titlted processor so that a registering dictionary and a dictionary can be preserved in the same recording medium, in the character processor provided with a storage device which is capable of storing and removing the dictionary. CONSTITUTION:When an electric power supply is turned on, a randam memory RAM is cleared and nothing is stored. When a read key JKEY is depressed in order to execute character processing, a dictionary J, a registering dictionary T and frequency information H are transferred to areas RJ, RT and RH, respectively, of the memory RAM. When this work has ended, a generating work of a usual sentence is performed. Also, a word which does not exist in the dictionary J is registered. Also, the frequency information of a word which has been used during that time is updated automatically, and is recorded to the area RH of the memory RAM. When the keys TKEY, HKEY are depressed in order to use again the contents of the memory RAM, the registering dictionary T and the frequency information H are saved in an external storage device DISK. |
