PURPOSE:To make it possible to collect heat at the time when the sun shines intermittently and to increase the heat collecting efficiency of the solar heat collector by a method wherein a pump adopted to circulate a heat transfer medium forcibly between a collector section and a heat exchage section of a heat accumulation tank is provided and a flow passage switching device capable of allowing the heat transfer medium to flow near the inlet-outlet port of the heat exchange section by bypassing the heat exchange section. CONSTITUTION:When heat transfer medium is heated by the collector section 2 of a heat collector 1 due to intermittent insolation and the difference between the temperature of the heat transfer medium and the temperature of a heat accumulating medium near the heat exchange section 7 of a heat accumulation tank 6 reaches a predetermined value, a differential thermostat A (not snown) responds thereto to thereby operate a pump 9. As a result, the heated heat transfer medium is transferred near the flow passage switching device 11 through a pipe 3 whereupon a differential thermostat B (not shown) responds thereto so that the flow passage switching device 11 operates to flow the heat transfer medium to the heat exchange section 7. At the initial stage of circulation of the heat transfer medium, the flow passage switching device 11 makes the heat transfer medium bypass the heat exchange section 7 while the heat transfer medium is cool so that the heat accumulating medium is not deprived of its heat by the heat transfer medium but the device 11 allows the heat transfer medium to flow into the heat exchange section 7 when the heat transfer medium is in a heated condition. Accordingly, the heat transfer medium performs only the function of promoting the heat accumulating action of the heat accumulating medium in the heat accumulation tank 6. |
