PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically control an engine until a warming operation is completed by heating intake air wih a preheating device in response to the detection temperature of a temperature sensor, shifting a lever with a lever adjusting device, and adjusting a lever position such that the engine enters in the range of prescribed rotation while starting the engine with a starter. CONSTITUTION:When a starting switch 21 is turned on, a CPU19 allows a heater 27 to be operated for 10sec if the temperature of cooling water is less than 10 deg.C judging it from the output of a water temperature snesor 11, and the position of a load lever 6 to be moved by a step motor 7 in response to the temperature of the cooling water, and simultaneously it allows a fuel flow rate adjusting valve 26 to be operated. After the movement of the lever 6, the CPU19 allows a starter 9 to be operated for 5sec, and if the rotary speed of an engine 1 is, when the engine turns by itself, outside the range of about 500-800rpm, drives the motor 7 to adjust the lever 6. The CPU19 checks the sensor 11, and if the water temperature is less than about 40 deg.C, allows a warming operation to be be continued to report the completion of the warming operation by the lighting of an indication lamp 22. Five minutes after the lifhting, the adjusting valve 26 is closed to stop the engine 1. |
