PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity, by adding a specified bisazo pigment to a charge generating layer, and a hydrazone compd. to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer contains a bisazo pigment having general formulaIin which Cp is a substituent represented by general formulae II-IV; X is an atomic group for completing an optionally substd. hetero ring, such as indole or benzofuran; Ar1, Ar2, Ar3 are each aryl or a heterocyclic, group such as carbozole, respectively optionally substd.; R5, R7 are each H, or alkyl or aryl, respectively optionally substd.; R6 is optionally substd. alkyl or carboxyl or ester; R1-R4 are each H, halogen, or a monovalent org. residue. At least one kind of hydrazone compds. is added to a charge transfer layer. |
