In method for continuous measuring temperature of molten metal floating molten slag on the bath received in vessel(12), a temperature measuring rule(1) is attached to side wall(14) of vessel through an inserted hole(16) of side wall in vessel, the attached position is apart from the base of vessel, it is lower than the minimum allowance level (a) already selected from the bath in molten metal when molten metal is received in vessel, and according to necessity as the level of the bath of molten metal received in vessel is at least equal to or higher than minimum allowance level, a temperature measuring rule is not contact with electric molten slag.
