PURPOSE:To prevent decline of the throughput of the titled storage system when a memory unit controlling section of the system is in trouble, by substituting the processing of the memory unit controlling section in trouble for another memory unit controlling section. CONSTITUTION:When a memory unit controlling section 5-1 is in trouble, another memory unit controlling section 5-2 decodes with its built-in decoder that supplied address information R1 is an access request to a memory unit 6-1, supplies a memory unit switch signal of logic ''1'' to a switching circuit 3-2 through a connecting line 59-2-1, and processes the 1st write request R1 to the memory unit 6-1 by connecting the memory unit controlling section 5-2 to the memory unit 6-1 through connecting lines 55-2 and 60-1. In this way, any write request R1 being processed in trouble can be processed by an existing save memory. |
