PURPOSE:To obtain the titled system which dispenses with any reversing operation or which reduces the number of reversing operations required every time when the printing head is started at each of printing lines by a method wherein when printing data are received, the printing head is stopped at a common stop position at every printing line. CONSTITUTION:A printing control device 10 and a discrimination circuit 17 are held operative through a signal S6 from a command circuit 16. Then the printing data D for one printing operation are transmitted to the discrimination circuit 17 from the printing control device 10, or in the case of rule printing, the left end position of the rule is transmitted to the circuit 17 by operating a keyboard. The circuit 17 receives the printing data D and decides which of the left stop position and the right stop position should be the position of a zone pulse in consideration of the format of initiation and completion of the entire printing. After that, a left stop setting signal S7 and a right stop setting signal S8 are transmitted to setting circuits 14 and 15, respectively, to thereby set the stop position of the printing head. |
