PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device of small size generating optional electromotive voltage by a method wherein, using a homo or hetero junction electromotive force generating element, a plurality of power generation sections are connected in series on the same substrate. CONSTITUTION:The first electrodes 17 containing an extended part 19 are formed on substrates 11 and 12 in the first process, and a homo or hetero junction layer 16 is formed in the second process in continuation with the first- third generating sections 13-15. At this time, as the layer must not be existed on extended parts 19 and 20, a selective etching method or a masking method is used. When a beam of light goes into the homo or hetero junction layer through the intermediary of the second electrode 18, electromotive voltage is generated in the sections 13-15, and the voltage applied in series between the minus pole, for which a connected part 21 is assigned, and the plus pole, for which the extended part 20 is assigned, is generated. |
