PURPOSE:To make a small-sized cassette adaptable to a deck of a normal-size cassette, by opening and closing a guard panel with interlocking to an action of a tape draw-out control lever and therefore avoiding the damage of a tape when the tape is drawn out. CONSTITUTION:A small-sized cassette 32 having a small distance between reels is loaded into an adaptor 21, and a control lever 27 is operated to draw out a tape 37 within the adaptor 21. In this case, it is avoided that the drawn-out tape 37 touches a guard panel 44 provided on the front face of the adaptor 21 and is damaged. When the lever 27 moves toward an arrow 38, a cam 46 is pushed by a knob 48. Thus a push rod 45 is moved, and a guard panel open/ close bar 44b is pushed to open the panel 44. The cam 46 is reset to its original state when the tape 37 is completely drawn out and the knob 48 passes through the cam 46. Then the panel 44 is closed. |
